10 Horror Movies That Flopped Hard In 2022

7. Jeepers Creepers: Reborn

The Invitation
Screen Media Films

When Laine and Chase arrive at the Horror Hound festival, she starts to have strange visions and premonitions related to the town's past, particularly the local legend of the Creeper.

Laine thinks that something supernatural has been called forth, as the festival kicks off and the blood-soaked entertainment ramps up to a frenzy.

Jeepers Creepers: Reborn had a problem before it even started filming, because it was given the enormous task of revitalizing a controversial film series. It had to go as far away as it could from its original creator Victor Salva, but also had to win over the devoted followers who had been impatiently awaiting the Creeper's return following the failure of Jeepers Creepers 3.

But it’s safe to say that the resulting movie failed in at least one of those things, but most likely in both.

Reborn seems to almost randomly insert the titular monster into an otherwise generic slasher thriller. The Creeper is practically inconsequential here, and the only thing worth remembering about him is probably his hilarious introduction.

It’s not often that a movie gets a single-digit audience score with over 500 reviewers, but Jeepers managed to pull of an ice-cold 9%.
