The film's corker of a premise sees five strangers ending up trapped inside an elevator, one of whom is the Devil in a human disguise, and who is surreptitiously killing off all the others.

The five characters are a security guard, a Marine-turned-mechanic, a mattress salesman, a young woman, and an elderly woman, with the latter surely being the least suspicious of the lot.

We can't help but want this harmless-looking if somewhat cantankerous woman to make it out in one piece, but alas, she's seemingly killed by the Devil at the end of act two.

But not quite - the final twist reveals that the old woman was really the Devil all along, once again proving that just because someone looks utterly incapable of causing serious harm in real life, a horror movie isn't bound by the same constraints of reality.
