Most people would consider dating Sebastian Stan as a gift from the heavens, but this movie will bring you crashing back into reality. It's a shocking (and surprisingly funny) flick that plays into the dangers of meeting a stranger and placing your trust in them. Can you ever know for certain that your partner has the best of intentions?
Fresh follows Noa, a girl who is having trouble with the online dating world. She soon runs into the perfect guy, Steve, and they begin dating. But, things turn sour very quickly as Steve reveals that he's got some very unusual tastes. Let's just say you need to work hard to avoid making any Armie Hammer jokes whilst watching this one.
It's an incredibly unsettling watch for two reasons. The first is the (rather obvious) disgusting imagery. It's brutal and full of gross gore that will make you sick to your stomach. The second is the implication, as Sebastian Stan does such a great job of luring you in before becoming a terrifying monster.
The focus on online dating also gives it a relatable tinge that makes the horror all the more modern and believable - despite the cannibalistic themes.
