10 Horror Movies That Would Have Made Better TV Shows

Due to Hellraiser's creative gore and distinctive gothic style, it became a monster hit. Even though the central antagonist, Pinhead, barely appears throughout the movies, he became the face of the franchise thanks to Doug Bradley's magnetic performance as the sadomasochistic entity.

The original may have been a success, but the other entries have ranged from being terrible to unwatchable. Despite the fact Hollywood is still trying to reboot the franchise, it might be better to start fresh with a TV series.

Even though Bradley is masterful as the spike-faced Cenobite, he always played the role as a generic villain. In the original novel, The Hellbound Heart, Pinhead is introduced as a nameless minion to another demon called the Engineer. Pinhead was never meant to be an important character until the author, Clive Barker, repurposed the walking pin-cushion as the big bad for the movie. It would be interesting to see Pinhead as an underling who works his way up the demon ladder to become the leader of the Cenobites.

Considering the novel's sequels have some fascinating moments including the destruction of Hell and Pinhead battling the Devil himself, there are plenty of things that could be incorporated into a series.
