10 Horror Movies That Would Have Made Better TV Shows

In The Girl with All the Gifts, the world has been plagued by a parasitic disease that turned the infected into into super-speedy zombies called Hungries.

What makes the story very different from other zombie movies is that the Hungries can think and speak. In fact, they act perfectly normal until they smell or taste any bodily fluid like sweat or blood. When that happens, the Hungries revert to ravenous creatures who will stop at nothing to devour human flesh. This premise forces the viewer to sympathise with the Hungries, despite the fact they are cannibals. You empathise with their plight even more since most Hungries are children.

It would be fascinating (and horrifying) to have a show where we see humans and Hungries bonding together, knowing that a single bead of sweat or a drop of blood would have incontrovertible results. We could see the Hungries try to save humanity, knowing they are responsible for its downfall. Hell, it would be cool if the lead character of a series WAS a Hungry, who does everything in their power not to give into their feral nature.
