10 Horror Movies That Would Have Made Better TV Shows

Post-apocalyptic stories have never been more popular. The Maze Runner, The Hunger Games, The Walking Dead, Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Matrix are just a small sample of successful franchises revolving around a less-than-stellar future for humanity.

Considering this subgenre is trending like crazy, it's bewildering no one has made a TV series of I Am Legend. Richard Matheson's novel of the same name helped popularise zombie and vampire literature, as well as the post apocalyptic concept.

Although there have been three movie adaptations, the 2007 version starring Will Smith is the most well-known version. Even though the film was successful, many viewers were left disappointed. Considering it changed the ending, focused too much on action, and turned the slow-moving intelligent vampires into mindless, sprinting zombies, it didn't feel like the same story Matheson wrote.

Also, all three films start with the main character, Robert Neville, right smack in the middle of Armageddon. He's lived in this world for so long, he knows how to avoid the creatures or survive encounters with them. It would be more intriguing (and depressing) to see the virus gradually consume humanity, and watch Neville slowly adapt to his new circumstances.
