10 Horror Movies Where The Final Girl Should Have Died

By all accounts, Freddy Vs Jason should've been irredeemably terrible. Not only do crossovers rarely work, but the Friday the 13th and Nightmare On Elm Street properties had been run into the ground at this point.

But not only does this slasher do Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger justice, the pair had, not one, not two, but three epic battles to keep die-hard horror fans firmly satisfied.

Unfortunately, everything else is a total mess. Not only does Freddy Vs Jason suffer from ropey CGI and a bad script, lead character Lori Campbell is AWFUL. She may be the protagonist, but there's little indication she will become the final girl, since she doesn't seem to ever know what the hell she's doing.

When Lori embraces her final girl persona during the climax, she manages to become more insufferable. If you saw her utter lines like, "Welcome to my world, bitch," out of context, you'd swear you were watching a parody.

Because the final scene shows Freddy and Jason having survived their sensational showdown, it would've been nice to see them snuff out Lori's life before cutting to black.
