10 Horror Movies Where The Victim Is More Dangerous Than The Villain
3. Prey
Amber Midthunder's Naru in the latest installment of the Predator franchise, Prey, is clearly sick to the back teeth of the status quo in her cinematic universe.
While this statement technically doesn't make sense as Prey is set hundreds of years prior to the first installment in the series, it certainly seems like Naru has seen (and is fed up with) the absolute carnage that Predators usually inflict on Earth; such is the sheer intensity of the level of resistance she directs towards pop culture's most famous alien hunters.
The Predator, despite wielding less deadly, earlier versions of the weaponry and technology that fans of the franchise have grown to love, is still a ridiculously formidable adversary, capable of killing hordes of humans stupid enough to try their luck. However, this does not do it one bit of good against the determined young Comanche woman, who uses her ingenuity and bravery to ultimately outwit the deadliest hunter to touch down on Earth.
By the time the end of the film rolls around, despite all the advantages the terrifying creature holds, Naru emerges victorious after relieving the Predator of its mask and using its spear gun against it. Naru caps off the latest installment of "not to be f*cked with" as she beheads the monstrous creature and paints her face in its luminescent blood before returning to her tribe to be declared the new War Chief in honor of her achievement.
It's surprising the Predators ever dared to return after receiving such a thorough spanking.
