10 Horror Movies Where The Villain Survives
1. Salò
So this film, otherwise known as 120 Days of Sodom, is known for being particularly gruesome and scarring, and consequently it’s even more of a shame to know that the perpetrators get away with it.
To put it lightly, the whole almost two hour runtime is a mess of torture, sexual violence and anguish. There’s not really any point trying to explain the plot in detail other than to say a group of four men decide they want to ruin everyone’s lives for their own entertainment; they kidnap a bunch of people and force them to do whatever they’re told under threat of violence or execution.
Trust me when I say there isn’t any fun way to describe it.
By the end of the film, a huge portion of the characters have just been freshly murdered and the outlook is absolutely hopeless.
There were a few endings they almost went with: a chaotic dance circle, a moral discussion from the four organisers of the brutality as they leave the setting, or even just a shot of a red flag adorned with the words ‘love you’.
What they settled on, however, is simply the image of two soldiers dancing the waltz.
