10 Horror Movies Where You Don't See The Monster Until The End
1. A Quiet Place
Remember when everyone thought John Krasinski was that nice guy from The Office? Remember when he unleashed this apocalyptic vision of Earth onto us all and everyone changed their minds?
A Quiet Place, directed by and starring Krasinski, is set in a world where aliens with hyper-sensitive hearing have conquered the planet. In order to stay alive, survivors must keep as silent as the grave, otherwise that's exactly where they'll be heading.
Krasinski and real-life wife Emily Blunt play the Abbotts, a couple attempting to navigate this hellscape with their three children in tow. Kids? Keeping quiet? Good luck with that, guys.
The aliens are lightning fast, which not only gives them the edge over humans, but also makes them incredibly difficult to see. As a result, audiences only get a good look at them during a prolonged chase sequence right at the end, and yep, they're just as evil-looking as everyone thought.
Huge, quadrupedal with exaggerated limbs, and an eyeless face with a mouth full of razor sharp teeth, these guys make the Xenomorph look like Jigglypuff. It was a long time coming, but this reveal was worth the wait.
