10 Horror Movies With The Worst CGI

5. Let The Right One In

Let The Right One In is a well regarded Swedish horror-romance, featuring bullied children, vampires and possessed cats. It received widespread critical acclaim, and (naturally) got an American remake in 2010.

It's a solid movie in near enough every aspect, although there is one moment in particular in which the creepy, unsettling atmosphere is offset by unintentional humour.

In vampire Eli's scramble to find blood, she attacks Virginia, who soon begins to feel unwell. She soon visits her cat-loving friend, only to be greeted by unnatural hostility from his usually friendly pets.

The problem? The cats are fully rendered in CGI, and they don't look overly convincing.

While Let The Right One In is able to carry a sense of unease and discomfort throughout, this particular scene's CGI is somewhat jarring, and it prompted laughs from much of its audience.

It's undoubtedly a shame, because Let The Right One In is such a great atmospheric horror movie, but ultimately, the nature of the felines' attack on Virginia and their overall presentation makes for a scene that's memorable in all the wrong ways.
