10 Horror Sequels You Didn't Know Were Happening

8. The Strangers 2: Prey At Night

Gremlins 3
Rogue Pictures

Cashing in on the success of its first instalment, The Strangers 2 has upped the ante with not only an unnecessary sequel - but a cheesy pun-based title to really set the tone. Coming 10 years after the first film, the sequel is likely to at least match The Strangers in quality simply because random home invasion films are low-stakes in the world of horror.

This time hunting a family on vacation at a deserted mobile home park, the three masked murderers with zero motivation decide to take their own holiday relaxation to a new level.

Combining an 80s soundtrack with classic slasher antics, the second Strangers film runs a high risk of cashing in on popular trends rather than trying to make anything of worth - but only time will tell if 47 Meters Down’s Johannes Roberts can swing the franchise in the right direction.
