10 Huge Casting Surprises Avengers: Doomsday Could Still Pull
9. Elizabeth Olsen As Wanda Maximoff
To say there are a few wild cards on the Avengers: Doomsday cast list would be an understatement. There are the likes of Loki, Namor, Magneto, and Mystique (Tom Hiddleston, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ian McKellen, and Rebecca Romijn) who could effortlessly play both sides of the hero/villain divide, and right there with them is Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff.
The Scarlet Witch has grown through the traumatic life she has led into one of the most powerful beings in the world, she is one of the few who proved she could have easily handled Thanos (Josh Brolin) one on one, and had it not been for a slip of the tongue in the Multiverse of Madness, she could have had free reign across said multiverse.
However, after her villainous turn, she imploded a large mountain on top of herself, and hasn't been seen or heard from since. Olsen's name didn't show up in the Doomsday announcement, but that doesn't mean that she is gone.
There was a tiny red flash when Mount Wundagore fell, suggesting that she may have protected herself, ready and waiting for the right time to return. That could be Doomsday, and Wanda is a popular and powerful enough character that this would be a huge moment, but if she does come back, she doesn't have to come back alone.
