10 Huge Marvel Characters That Could Make Their MCU Debut In 2022

Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross made his MCU debut back in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, and though he went AWOL for eight years, since 2016 he has appeared in Civil War, Infinity War, Endgame, and Black Widow. There is no reason to think that he is done with the larger MCU franchise just yet.

In spite of his five appearances in the MCU, Ross has yet to evolve into the character just about everyone watching wants him to. In the comics, he is to the Red Hulk what Bruce Banner is to the Hulk. Even now, it seems like it is just a waiting game before his own ‘Other Guy’ shows his face. Would there be any other place as fitting for this transformation as She-Hulk?

Disney+ will bring Jennifer Walters to the franchise, likely before 2022 is done, but she will not be the only Hulk to appear. Joining her will be her cousin, Bruce Banner, and Emil Blonsky’s Abomination, so why not Red Hulk too?

This would almost be Ross’ full circle moment. He has spent all of his time in the MCU either hunting Banner or drafting and enforcing the Sokovia Accords, hamstringing the Avengers and sending some of them into exile. Seeing him then turn into a huge red rage monster himself would be a nice change in dynamic and offer something new from the character.
