With its trailer release, Moon Knight is now confirmed to be the MCU’s next instalment on Disney+, with the following entry likely to be Ms. Marvel. The series is set to introduce Iman Vellani as the titular hero, with a view to then bringing her into 2023’s The Marvels.

There are rumours that both Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau could appear in the Disney+ series alongside their future teammate, potentially marking Ms. Marvel as a prequel of sorts to Nia DaCosta’s MCU debut. As with the prospect of bringing Red Hulk into She-Hulk, this could be a case of the more the merrier.

There were rumours during WandaVision’s run that Blue Marvel would appear as the aerospace engineer that Monica knew, and though these never came to anything, that doesn’t mean the character still doesn’t have a future on Disney+. Adam Brashear boasts powers in the comics similar to Captain Marvel, and could bring a lot to the franchise.

In a way he could continue, or at least echo, Isaiah Bradley’s story from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As the Blue Marvel in 1962, Brashear was loved, but when his face mask broke revealing that he was black, he was asked by the President to retire. The representation and history of black superheroes was a huge story for the MCU in 2021, and could certainly be continued through 2022.
