10 Huge Movie Sequels Just Announced

In 2018, John Krasinski went completely against the type of projects that made him famous when he wrote, starred in, and directed A Quiet Place. However, the film was a huge hit, the world saw Krasinski in a different light, and one of the most successful horror franchises in recent memory was born.

Now, seven years later, Krasinski took to social media to announce the trilogy-making A Quiet Place Part III. Originally set to release on 9th July 2027, the outing has already been delayed by three weeks to avoid another film that we will get to on this list soon. 

It will be interesting to see where the third in the trilogy, and the fourth Quiet Place movie overall, will go. Arguably, the original movie was a self-contained story that needed no sequels or spin-offs, but still earned itself one of each. A Quiet Place Part II continued the story of the Abbotts in what felt closer to an epilogue than a story of its own, while Day One has gone back to that first day and told the story of Samira and Eric (Lupita Nyong'o and Joseph Quinn) in New York.

Is there really anywhere else for the story to go? Though the prospect of Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and of course Cillian Murphy potentially returning is exciting, it's hard to see where things can go that won't be re-treading old steps.
