10 Huge Movies Already Confirmed For 2020 And Beyond

6. Fast And Furious 9 & 10

The Fate Of The Furious
Universal

Release Dates: 10 April 2020, 2 April 2021 (subject to change)

The vehicle that keeps on chugging along, the Fast and Furious franchise has been on an impressive (and surprising) upwards trajectory since it was reinvigorated by Justin Lin in 2009.

Each movie in the series is now expected to be a billion-dollar hit, and the upcoming Fast sequels are no exception.

As is the case with most movies on this list, their far-off launch means that plot details are hard to come by, but does anybody really watch these things for the plot?

Rest assured, there'll be lots of awesome action, funny one-liners, and "family" speeches delivered in Vin Diesel's gruff, excessively manly tone.

Fast 9 was initially set for 2019, but was delayed to 2020. Before this delay, Fast 10 (supposedly the final film in the saga) was set to launch in 2021. But, given the ninth entry's current 2020 spot, expect its successor to be pushed back to 2022, creating a two-year gap between movies.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
