10 Huge Sequels That Were Announced (And Then Just Disappeared)
6. The Vega Brothers
Speaking of risks, if there's anyone willing to take a few, it's Quentin Tarantino. It's long been a speculation that Vic Vega of Reservoir Dogs and Vincent Vega of Pulp Fiction are in fact brothers, which isn't exactly an implausible theory; we've since learned that there's no relation between them at all, and that there was never intended to be. "But what's this about the Vega Brothers? Are they brothers or not?" you ask. After the success of both Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, there were talks of a potential spinoff including both Michael Madsen and Jon Travolta as the twin brothers of Vic and Vincent, respectively. Not only would this solve the dilemma of both of the original characters' deaths, but also the issue of the the actors' ages in relation to their previous roles. The idea was that Madsen and Travolta would find themselves on a flight to LA with the intent of avenging their respective twin's murder. The premise itself is a tad lacking, sure, but it also could have been a fun homage to Tarantino's earlier work, and would have served as a great cult favorite for fans. Unfortunately, the likeliness of seeing this film on the silver screen dwindles every year, as the actors get older and the screenwriter moves on to bigger things.
