10 Hugely Talented Actors That Should Be Bigger Stars

10. Shea Whigham

Shea Whigham Wolf Of Wall Street If you've been anywhere near a movie theater in the last five years, chances are you'll have seen Shea Whigham appear onscreen at one point or another. Best known for playing Eli Thomson on Boardwalk Empire, the hard-working 45 year-old has still managed to build up a solid resume of big-screen supporting roles, and is becoming increasingly recognizable in his own right. Since breaking into movies with a memorable performance in Joel Schumacher's Tigerland in 2000, Whigham has gone on to bag supporting roles in a number of successful movies across multiple genres. Since 2009 alone he has popped up in the fourth and sixth entries of the Fast and Furious franchise, The Lincoln Lawyer, Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street to name but a few, as well as a recurring role on television's incredible True Detective. A versatile and dedicated talent, Whigham's diversity will see him appear in both Liam Neeson actioner Non-Stop and Terrence Malick's Knight of Cups (should he survive the edit, of course) in the next year. After over a decade as a memorable supporting player, the actor deserves a bigger cinematic showcase for his undoubted talents.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
