7. House Of M (Marvel)
House of M was a 2005 storyline that depicted a world in which mutants were the ruling majority and a group of super-heroes on Earth came together to decide what to do about the Scarlet Witch who had started to become increasingly mentally unstable. The X-Men were invited to Avengers Tower and a discussion took place that essentially saw the heroes deciding whether or not they should kill her, such was the threat she posed. However, Magneto - her father - was having none of that, took her away from the heroes and used her powers to create a new world. A conflict ensues in this new world - which has created more mutants and changed to roles of many heroes - but the heroes must band together to face Magneto and his forces. Scarlet Witch realises that Magneto actually cares more about mutant-kind in general than he does for her and, thanks to both that and her mental instability, says "no more mutants" and that's exactly what happens as a result. It wouldn't be possible in a movie at the moment for the simple reason that the Scarlet Witch doesn't exist in the X-Men movie universe. There are no mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to get rid of - and there's nobody anywhere near powerful enough in the X-Men movie universe to take her place.
