10 Iconic Directors Who Don't Have A Film In The IMDb Top 250

7. Steven Soderbergh

Best Known For: Erin Brockovich, Ocean's Eleven, Traffic Most Deserving IMDb Top 250 Candidate: Traffic Chances are that everyone has seen at least one Steven Soderbergh film, given the director's talent for moving between indie flicks and high-end blockbusters with relative ease. No wonder he's been likened to that of a chameleon! Soderbergh has produced some of the most memorable pictures of recent years, of course, and yet not one of them has managed to break the IMDb's prestigious Top 250. Somewhat surprising, considering all the acclaim this filmmaker has received. Whilst Ocean's Eleven's IMDb rating of 7.8 seems right, you could certainly argue that Traffic - which scores a mere 7.6 despite the fact that it won four Oscars back in 2000 - is a shocking admission from the Top 250. Erin Brockovich has all the makings of a Top 250-friendly movie, what with its being an indie film disguised as a blockbuster (Soderbergh playing middle man), but unfortunately, with a score of just 7.3, it lacks the credentials.
