Sarah Connor’s fight against Skynet and the Terminators is portrayed in six films, a television series, a trilogy of novels and a comic book crossover with Superman!

Sarah’s continuity following the first two films goes in several different directions. An alternate ending to T2 shows her alive 30 years later, as a grandmother, with John a Senator and no trace of Skynet. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, however, reports that she died of leukaemia in 1997.

Terminator: Genisys, acts as an alternate reality to the previous films, with Sarah’s parents killed by a T-1000 when she was nine. She is found, raised and trained by a reprogrammed T-800. When Kyle arrives 11 years later it emerges John has been turned into an evil cyborg in the future so they time travel 33 years ahead to defeat him.

Terminator: Dark Fate disregards all the films since T2, revealing John was killed in 1998 by a T-800, leaving a grieving, alcoholic Sarah to eventually go on to help train the new future leader of the resistance, Dani.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series shows Sarah and John time travelling ahead of when she should have died from cancer, with the help of a female terminator. The T2 novels show Sarah and John living undercover in Paraguay with their Austrian neighbour Dieter, who is the model for the T-800. Working with the FBI brother of Miles Dyson, they stop Skynet and Sarah ends up marrying Dieter.
