4. Hugh Jackman's Wolverine

Hugh Jackman is Wolverine. Seriously. There can be no other explanation for his remarkably slow aging than a healing factor. He has been playing Wolverine for almost a decade and a half, but does not look much older now than he did in 2000s
X-Men. Even so, the day will come when Jackman will hang up his claws and leave the role to someone else. Jackman is a true superhero cinema veteran. When
X-Men: Days of Future Past comes out in 2014, it will be Jackmans seventh appearance as Wolverine in a live-action film (counting his brilliant cameo in
X-Men: First Class). No actor has played the same superhero that many times. Jackman has clearly gone above and beyond the call of duty and is the only live-action Wolverine the world has ever known. At some point, 21st Century Fox is going to have to recast the role for the very first time. It will be an incredibly difficult task since the quality and quantity of Jackmans performances have deeply ingrained him as the one true Wolverine in the minds of moviegoers around the world. The new actor will have trouble gaining acceptance for the simple fact that he is not Jackman. Waiting as long as possible to recast can help, but the key will probably be embracing and emphasizing the different qualities brought to the table by the next actor. Perhaps that person can physically pull off the characters shorter, stockier comic book aesthetic. Something will have to be done, though, as replacing Jackman is a tall order.
