7. Self-Surgery In The Mirror - The Terminator

With Arnold Schwarzenegger set to return to the big screen this year in the latest Terminator movie it's as good a time as any to revisit the classic original, where the violence wasn't impeded by the now obligatory PG-13 curse. James Cameron certainly knew how to deliver some truly visceral action set pieces, while Hollywood legend Stan Winston was on hand to turn in the awesome special effects (he helped out on The Thing and knows a thing or two about impressive animatronics). Still, not every effects shot was as convincing as it could have been, and the terminator's self-surgery scene stands out as a low point in the movie.
