10 Iconic Movie Scenes You Won't Admit Have Aged Terribly

3. The Skeleton Army - Jason And The Argonauts

It might seem a little unfair picking on a film as old as Jason And The Argonauts and criticising it for its dated special effects - after all, the film came out in 1963, decades before many readers were even born. But since this is a seminal film in the history of movie visual effects still lauded today by many fans it's only fair to point out that it's perhaps not as impressive today as some people maintain. Ray Harryhausen's legendary stop motion animation was certainly a game-changer back in the day, but watching his animated skeletons today isn't anywhere near as impressive as it once was. Movie fans should be thankful that his pioneering work took effects in new directions, but is it really, as Tom Hanks once suggested, "the greatest movie of all time"? Decide for yourself and watch the skeleton fight everyone was once talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pF_Fi7x93PY
