10 Iconic Sci-Fi Movie Moments That Were Totally Improvised

9. “Yes, It’s True. This Man Has No D*ck.” - Ghostbusters

Bill Murray, king of impromptu one-liners, and one of the most quoted men in the movie business. In earnest, not everyone may agree with this entry due to the sheer number of improvised zingers in Ghostbusters, not to mention Murray’s whole career.

One could not argue, however, that one of Murray’s most knee-slappingly funny retorts comes in the form of his dig at the weaselly EPA inspector Walter Peck.

Fearing the instability and danger of the Ghostbuster’s ghost containment system, Peck reprimands the titular heroes in front of the Mayor of New York City. Dr Raymond Stantz rebukes the claim that Ghostbusters’ containment system poses a threat to the city, offhandedly calling Peck “d*ickless”.

Peck doubles down on his claims, and when the Mayor asks Dr Peter Venkman (Murray) if they are true, he responds that “yes, it’s true. [Peck] has no d*ck.”

The best part: Murray made this up in the moment. Subversive and brilliant, this jab at the horribly annoying Peck tickles audiences’ ribs and serves as a phenomenal example of the potential of the off-the-cuff comeback.
