Leigh Whannel and James Wan's super low-budget Saw film quite literally changed the landscape of the horror genre. Throughout the film, we're introduced and walked through the world of the sadistic Jigsaw killer, a total and definite murderer who sets up gruesome traps known as 'games' in order to test someone's will to survive.

The whole film revolves around the mysterious identity of the killer, with the police, protagonists and audience left completely in the dark as the kills mount up and a whole host of suspects are put in front of us.

Our true killer is revealed to be John Kramer, a cancer patient originally in the care of our protagonist Dr. Lawrence Gordon who you genuinely get a 'blink and you miss it' shot of earlier in the film, in the closing minutes of the film's finale.

In what remains one of the horror world's greatest ever twists, the supposedly dead body of a Kramer, who we had seen lying on the floor throughout the entire film, slowly rises up to face the camera and revealing himself to be the film's true sinister mastermind.
