10 Images That Prove James Cameron Is Totally Insane

6. Titanic Stars

James Cameron is a stickler for details. This was never more evident than in the filming of Titanic, which is known for being extremely accurate when it comes to presenting the aesthetics and culture of 1912. In a film as huge as Titanic, there were always going to be one or two anachronisms. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson emailed Cameron after the release of Titanic, to let him know that "when Rose is lying on the piece of driftwood and staring up at the stars, that is not the star field she would have seen." He went on to claim that "it wasn't only wrong, it was lazy." Naturally, James Cameron couldn't tolerate such an inaccuracy in his movie, and changed the night sky for the 10th anniversary director's cut and 3D re-release.
