10 Incredible Casts That Were Wasted On Really Awful Movies

4. Valentine's Day

Cast: Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher, Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Bradley Cooper, Kathy Bates, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Héctor Elizondo, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway, Carter Jenkins, George Lopez, Taylor Lautner, Queen Latifah, Shirley MacLaine, Emma Roberts and Taylor Swift. This might not be everyone's idea of a 'great cast' (and in Taylor Swift's case, nobody's), but with the arguable talent on show, you would have at least expected Valentine's Day to turn out to be a watchable romantic comedy that wouldn't have been the biggest pain in the butt to be dragged to the cinema to see by your girlfriend. But it was a pain in the butt; a numbing one that wasn't helped by the running-length that clocked in at over two hours. The big names on the posters managed to trick audiences into the cinema to make Valentine's Day a success, but instead we are insulted by the cliches and the muddled plots on show, which only further highlights our stupidity for being tricked into paying money to be charmed in the first place. Instead it's about as charming as Fred West, and Hollywood's attempt to tap into the formula that made the UK's Love Actually into a Christmas favourite failed miserably. Being single on Valentine's Day is less depressing than this.
