Blood Diner

Horror icon Jackie Kong made her mark on the genre with her 1987 Blood Diner, a spiritual sequel to the 1963 film Blood Feast. The often excessive film features two brothers, played by the scrumptiously over-the-top Carl Crew and Rick Burks, who are brainwashed by their twisted uncle into butchering women that enter their popular vegetarian restaurant.

From beyond the grave, their uncle commands them to dismember the women, so that they can sew the body parts together in a ritual that will bring an ancient goddess back to life. Complete with vomit-inducing murder sequences and a plot that doesn't quite make sense, Kong fashions a punk horror film that will be remembered for decades to come.

Before Blood Diner, which was, unfortunately, Kong's last foray into feature filmmaking, the director also directed three other films - The Underachievers (1987), Night Patrol (1984), and The Being (1983) - that also stand the test of camp time.
