Star Wars is one of the most popular franchises in film history, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of scenes that were scrapped or cut entirely from the films.

This has left several aspects of Star Wars' mythology unexplained to anyone not reading all the comics or tie-in novels. One such aspect is the nature of Force Ghosts, and how a Jedi can become one with the Force upon death.

In Revenge of the Sith, a scene was partially filmed that would have explained everything, and it would have involved Yoda communing with Qui-Gon Jinn. In the final film, Yoda mentions to Obi-Wan that he will teach him to commune with his old master, but that's the only reference that made it.

In the original scene, Qui-Gon explains in detail to Yoda the process, and how he can remain an immortal Force Ghost after death. This is incredibly important in Star Wars mythology, so it's a shame the scene was never completed.

There were some parts of it that were shot, which wound up on the Blu-Ray release, but the CGI is rough. What's worse, Liam Neeson wasn't available to record his lines, so it's not what Lucas planned, making it hard to see how the scene should have looked had it made it to print.
