10 Incredible Scenes Trapped In Otherwise Bad Movies

10. Birth Of Sandman - Spider-Man 3

Spider-Man 3 was a bloated mess that had way too much going on. And while many people hold up the treatment of Venom as the film€™s biggest missed opportunity, a full movie devoted to Sandman may have really been what viewers lost out on. It€™s clear that this was the villain Sam Raimi really wanted to use and even though his redemption arc paled in comparison to Dr. Octopus€™s, his origin scene showed us what could have been. On the run, Flint Marko falls into a particle accelerator experiment. The morning after, his dissolved body begins to slowly piece itself together, forming a patchwork humanoid form made out of sand. The struggle is apparent as he tries to gather himself and you can see his devastation upon realising what he€™s become. He then spots the locket with his daughter€™s picture, but collapses trying to grab it. Finally finding something to live for, he solidifies himself and rises up. The entire scene is surprisingly beautiful for a supervillain€™s origin, thanks in no small part to the lack of dialogue and Christopher Young€™s score, which really conveys his sadness. If only the rest of the film had been handled with such a thoughtful approach. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u42zRlrBYbs
