10 Incredible Scenes Trapped In Otherwise Bad Movies

9. Samuel L. Jackson Dies - Deep Blue Sea

Deep Blue Sea was one of many B-movie rip-offs of Jaws from over the years. The appropriately silly plot finds a group of scientists who, while attempting to find a cure for Alzheimer's, accidentally create a trio of super-intelligent sharks. The movie was ironically completely forgettable and would have never been discussed again were it not for this one incredible scene. Billed as a major player in promotions, Samuel L. Jackson€™s corporate stooge Russell Franklin had just taken control of the remaining team members. He gave a rousing speech, emphasising the need to stick together and it looked like the group was listening. Then out of nowhere, a shark bursts up and brutally chomps on him before dragging him into the water, never to be seen again. The laughably ridiculous and suitably gory death has gone down as one of the best in film history (aside from the iffy CGI). It was so shocking, so completely out of nowhere, that it completely befitted the B-movie tone the film was going for. Unfortunately, this inspired ability to go against expectations wouldn€™t exist beyond this scene, causing the rest of the movie to resemble exactly what it set out to be: a dull Jaws retread. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uz1J9PUcMQ0
