10 Incredible Scenes Trapped In Otherwise Bad Movies

6. Opening War Montage - X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The hype was insane for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and rightfully so. The character was a standout in the X-Men film and the idea of getting a full movie of his berserker rage had fans drooling. What they didn€™t expect, was his zany road trip, complete with terrible CGI claws and absolute mockeries of a few beloved characters. Few might have guessed that once the opening credits stopped rolling, the best part of the movie had already been and gone. The opening montage in question featured Wolverine and his half-brother Sabretooth fighting in different wars throughout history; from the American Civil War to Vietnam, they€™re shown side-by-side in vicious combat. In addition to providing the most hardcore action the film would show, this scene managed to highlight the brotherly bond between the leads. To create that sense of legacy and relationship so quickly and effectively was truly remarkable, so it€™s a shame they struggled to do that anywhere else in the film. It wasn't all for nothing though; jumping off from this, subsequent X-Men movies have shown how integrating their adventures into real world history can be an effective storytelling method. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3lP3Sr0yKs
