10 Incredibly Disturbing Horror Movie Moments

Takashi Miike back at it again with the needles. The master of making horrible torture returns with Audition. This film has a scene which acts on the same concept as Imprint but with some horrific additions.

It follows Shigehiko Aoyama as he sets up an audition to find a new wife. He discovers the seemingly innocent Asami Yamazaki and begins a tender relationship with her. It seems caring and loving, but eventually, things start to appear dangerous, and the horror of this woman's intentions become clear.

Asami drugs Shigehiko in this scene, assuring him that the poison will not only paralyse him but make him even more sensitive to pain. She then uses needles and places them throughout many parts of his body. Unlike Imprint, she isn't shy about where to put them, and we see the needles stuck into horrible places like the stomach, ribs and eyes.

We then progress to see her take out a wire. She wraps it around his foot and begins to pull back and forth. The sound of the cutting is horrendously well achieved, and it continues until his foot is removed completely.

The scene reads horribly but watching it is far worse. Miike should win a medal for being the master at effectively making scenes disturbing without overdoing it.
