1. Dwayne Johnson

After a few false starts during his early years in Hollywood, over the last decade Dwayne Johnson has carefully curated his personal brand to become the biggest movie star in the world. So far, the formula has yielded incredible success, but for many the routine is starting to become a little repetitive.

Since first joining the Fast and Furious franchise almost a decade ago, Johnson has essentially given the same performance in a further three sequels and a spinoff, along with G.I. Joe: Retaliation, San Andreas, two Jumanji movies, Skyscraper and Rampage, and will no doubt do the same again in Jungle Cruise, Red Notice and the DCEU's Black Adam.

The man formerly known as The Rock has a limitless supply of charisma, impeccable comic timing and is a much better actor than he typically gets credit for.

He might reside at the top of the A-list but he has still yet to maximize his potential, and the idea of him going for broke as a villain or tackling more serious fare to expel any doubts over his capabilities could result in something truly special, and even end up with his star shining even brighter than it already does.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
