10 Insane Deleted Scenes That Thankfully Didn't Make The Final Film

Not many are going to go on record and defend Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man 2. The messy web of a sequel to the 2012 reboot found Peter Parker swinging between way too many plotlines as he faced off against two villains, Electro and the Green Goblin, while also working on his relationship with Gwen Stacy.

They say you shouldn't multitask, and this film proved that Spider-Man definitely shouldn't.

In a deleted scene, Parker's estranged father shows up out of nowhere. As befitting the wonky plotting of the film, he doesn't explain where he's been, or why he's been gone for so long, or why he picked his girlfriend's funeral to re-emerge. Is he even really Peter’s father? Who knows.

Does any of this really matter? Probably not – thankfully the scene wasn't included in the final version, which means The Amazing Spider-Man 2 isn't quite as terrible as it could have been.
