2003's Thai martial arts movie Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior is one hell of a showcase for the great Tony Jaa, and director Prachya Pinkaew also used the film to slyly attract the attention of two majorly successful Hollywood filmmakers.

During the movie's foot chase sequence, one of the shop's shutters has the phrase "Hi Speilberg [sic], let do it together" written on it, of course referring to Steven Spielberg.

And later during the tuk-tuk chase, he also calls out to Luc Besson, with a pillar having the phrase written on it, "Hi, Luc Besson, we are waiting for you."

Though it doesn't seem that Pinkaew ever made much headway with Spielberg, he was eventually contacted by Besson, whose company EuropaCorp ended up acquiring the movie's international distribution rights, in turn allowing Ong-Bak to be seen by a much larger audience.

The faint writing makes these shout-outs tough to spot the first time, but once you know where they are, they're unmissable.
