10 Insane Movie Moments You Won't Believe You Never Spotted

9. The Drunk Nun - Dogma

Pearl Harbor
Miramax

Kevin Smith's Dogma begins with a memorable sequence in which, while hanging out at the airport, disgraced angel Loki (Matt Damon) speaks to a nun (Betty Aberlin) and ultimately convinces her that she's been wasting her life dedicating it to God and should abandon her faith.

Fellow fallen angel Bartleby (Ben Affleck) then points out the irony of Loki trying to convince folks that God doesn't exist despite both of them having been in their presence personally. Loki's retort? "I just like to f**k with the clergy."

This gag secretly pays off about two minutes later, when while the duo are riding the travellator at the airport, the nun can be seen running out of a bar in the background, holding what's presumably a pint of beer all while a disgruntled staff member tries, in vain, to drag her back inside.

Given that Loki's last interaction with the nun saw him advising her to take the money she'd been collecting for her parish and spend it on herself, she presumably did just that.

But rather than buy herself a nice dress as Loki suggested, she evidently made a bee-line straight for the nearest bar. Amazing.
