Though most folks would like to think that they'd react in a logical and reasonable manner in the wake of discovering a beloved pal had unfortunately passed away out of the blue, there are those who find themselves taking inspiration from Weekend at Bernie's instead.

Similarly to the events that go down in the 1989 black comedy, which sees a pair of young employees discover their boss is dead at his home before proceeding to maintain the façade of him actually still being among the living, Jeffrey Young decided to take his recently deceased mate out on the town back in 2011.

Accompanied by pal Mark Rubinson, the gang used their dead mate's credit card to fund one last hurrah for the corpse and company. Said evening saw them venture to Teddy T's Bar and Grill for a few beverages, pick up some nachos at Viva Burrito, and then finally hit Shotgun Willie's Show Club for a lap dance.

Now, the pair did eventually report their mate's death, it must be said. Though this act only came five hours after discovering his lifeless body and using his debit card to fund their $400 spree on the town.

Needless to say, the two were arrested for abusing a corpse, identity theft and criminal impersonation before being released on bond.
