5. Spider-Man Makes A Cameo - Venom 2

Though the MCU's Spider-Man (Tom Holland) didn't appear in Venom, Holland did in fact film a cameo role as the web-slinger, which Marvel Studios ultimately asked Sony to remove after seeing a cut of the film. Yikes.

But with Venom 2 currently in production, rumours have abounded that Holland has filmed another cameo, which will reportedly see Spidey swinging around New York City when he sees a news report about Cletus Kasady aka Carnage (Woody Harrelson).

This would seem to imply a future showdown between Spidey and Carnage, possibly with Venom (Tom Hardy) involved. If nothing else, it would certainly mark a major step forward in Sony and Marvel Studios' rather awkward current partnership.

On one hand, nobody could blame Tom Holland for not wanting to shoot another cameo which might simply get vetoed by Marvel Studios, though after Venom grossed more than $850 million worldwide, perhaps the studio will be a little more accommodating to Sony.
