1. Zion Is Just Another Part Of The Matrix In The Matrix Revolutions

Here's one noodle-baking theory that's so awesome it's actually better than what the Wachowkis came up with for their disappointing conclusion to the Matrix series. What if Zion is just another aspect of The Matrix, another way to pacify the participants and give them the illusion of having broken free? There are a lot of clues; Neo's powers have now transferred to the "real" world of Zion, but what's more plausible - it's "magic", or Neo still hasn't escaped The Matrix, because escape is impossible? It's genius in a way; the machines hide in plain sight, by actually making it clear to Zion's inhabitants that they are being milked to keep the machines alive, while providing them with the illusion that they managed to escape it. Given we got a hugely unsatisfying ending where The Matrix still exists but we're meant to think it's all happy, why not go the darker, more interesting route and at least satisfy us instead?
