5. All Of The Rugrats Are Dead Except For Angelica

Here's a theory that has been kicking around about the Rugrats for years, and is certainly the most distressing and disturbing theory on this list. What if Angelica is, in fact, the only real child, and the rest are just figments of her imagination to stave off loneliness? The children were intended, though; Chuckie died along with his mother, which goes to explain why his father Chaz is so erratic and nervous all the time; Tommy was stillborn, which explains why his dad, Stu, is always in the basement inventing toys, still traumatised by the loss; and Phil and Lil's parents had an abortion, and as Angelica never knew the sex of the potential child, decided to create twins in her head - one boy, one girl. It's a theory depressing enough to make a grown man cry, and one which will never have you watching the show (or its vastly inferior cinematic counterparts) the same way again. That said, whoever came up with it originally is a twisted genius.
