10 Insanely Intense Scenes In PG-13 Movies

Next up is another horror film, but this time without any gags to lighten the mood.

The Ring is an urban legend type tale about a videotape that, after you watch it, will result in a phone call informing you that in seven days you’re gonna die.

I actually remember watching this movie at a thirteenth birthday party with a bunch of friends back in the day, much like how the film opens, so I guess the producers where spot on with the target demographic, hence the PG-13 rating.

The movie manages to get under your skin with its monochromatic colour palette and eerie imagery. It’s the movie’s most iconic moment that wins the prize for most insanely intense scene, wherein the ghoulish girl who appears on the videotape footage begins slowly crawling out of the television screen, across the living room, and into Noah’s (Martin Henderson) lap. It’s truly the stuff of nightmares.

Good luck to parents trying to reassure their children “It’s just a movie, it can’t hurt you” after that scene.
