An argument could be made that a bulk of Olivia Wilde's career up until a couple of years ago was to play minor supporting roles in TV shows, or aimless love interests in B-List movies.

But when Wilde gets a chance to flaunt her acting chops properly, she goes all in (like in Drinking Buddies or Life Itself). Yet, it was still one hell of a surprise when she devastated audiences with her performance as Sadie in 2018's A Vigilante.

The portrayal of Sadie is a painfully tragic display of someone who is filled with so much anger and resentment for the world, but is equally terrified every time they're on screen. Olivia Wilde finds her own corner of presenting anti-heroes and occupies the entire space with a screaming, wide-eyed figure who is alluring at a distance, but will bite your hand off if you get close.
