10 Intriguing Star Wars Rogue One Trailer Moments That Weren't In The Movie

6. Krennic On The Battlefield

Krennic was a fun villain, aided by Ben Mendelsohn's theatrical performance, and once upon a time, a version of Rogue One that featured him a lot more may have existed.

In the final act, Krennic never leaves the Scarif base, instead issuing orders to his men from the command station before heading to the data room to apprehend Jyn and Cassian, but originally, it looks like he went walkabout on Scarif's surface, as evidenced by this moment from the teaser trailer.

This is a very interesting shot that poses some massive questions about the film's final act (which we'll discuss again later). Firstly, this shot looks to be set at sunset, but how can he be here at this time when the base was blown up by the Death Star earlier in the day?

What is he even doing here? The battle looks to be over, and everyone dead, so who's he after? Did Jyn escape the tower in an earlier cut, plans in hand (a scenario that a few other axed shots hint at), only to be gunned down, leaving Krennic to go fetch them?

Again, we'll probably never know unless an early version of the screenplay appears online, but that looks like one of only a few possibilities.
