10 Intriguing Star Wars Rogue One Trailer Moments That Weren't In The Movie

3. More Krennic/Vader...

Being such an important, popular character, it's not hard to imagine the production team shooting lots of Vader scenes just so they had ample material to play about with during the edit process.

We've got evidence of this here, with a brief snippet from the second trailer featuring Orson Krennic speaking with the man himself. "The power that we are dealing with here..." spouts Krennic to an unwavering, silent Vader, "is immeasurable."

Very clearly a small chunk taken from a larger scene, this moment feels all-too similar to a Vader scene that did make it into the finished cut, showing the Sith Lord having a dip in his bacta tank before having a conversation with Krennic about... power.

This could be another case of repetition forcing a scene to be axed, which is extremely likely. The pair look to be alone here, just like they were in the film, so we can assume Krennic has gone to Vader for a private conversation, to complain about Tarkin and attempt to exert his dominance.

Long story short - this scene and the Vader/Krennic scene we ended up getting hit all the same notes. This is one editing decision we're pretty grateful for, all things considered - Vader's castle was a much more stunning setting than the black insides of an Imperial ship.
