10 James Bond Gadgets We Wish Were Real

9. Revolving Sofa - The Living Daylights

Gadget: Though not an actual gadget given to 007 to use in the field, this sofa was created by Q nonetheless, and is only glimpsed briefly. It's basic function is pretty straight-forward - someone sits on the couch, you push a button, and the top & bottom sections rotate, swallowing whoever is unlucky enough to be sitting there. While Q most likely just made it as a joke to amuse himself, this definitely has real world applications. Real World Application: As if i really need to enumerate how awesome it would be to have one of these. Imagine you have the kind of job where people are constantly stoping by over the course of the day to bother you. Or better yet, imagine you're someone who fires people all day. Just put a chute of some kind underneath the sofa, and one €œyou€™re fired€ later, they€™re plummeting into the basement where they have to fight their way out of your own personal balrog pit. It would certainly give your workers extra motivation to do good work. Still, I think the coolest use of this sofa would be in a movie exec€™s office, one who hears pitches all day. Bad pitch? Bad luck.
