5. How Powerful Is The Full Infinity Gauntlet?
So, as well as wanting to know exactly how powerful Thanos is, we also can't wait to see how powerful the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the Infinity Gauntlet is. So far, weve seen the capabilities of three (or maybe four) of the Infinity Stones - those being the Tesseract, the Aether, the Orb and, if it is actually another Infinity Stone, an as yet unnamed gem in the sceptre Loki used in the Avengers movie. All they've really done so far is thrown around offensive energy - aside from Loki's sceptre, which could mind-control people and generate portals. If this is anything to go by, its difficult to imagine how the six Infinity Stones combined will grant Thanos anywhere near the level of power it has shown in the comic books and, while we don't expect that level of power in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we certainly hope there's more to it than that. If all it ends up doing is firing very powerful energy blasts, opening portals and mind-controlling people, it will be a huge disappointment. Phase three will surely confirm things either way.
