5. Liev Schreiber

Arch-enemy of autocorrect Liev Schreiber has been doing the best work of his career on the small screen in recent years, with his role as the title character on Showtime's Ray Donovan netting him four consecutive Golden Globe nominations for 'Best Actor in a Television Series'. A quick glance at the 49 year-old's IMDb profile states that he 'often plays angry tough guys who behave unpredictably'; sound like anyone we know?

Standing at an imposing 6'3", built like a brick sh*thouse and with a piercing stare that gives off an undeniable sense of barely-contained rage, on paper Schrieber has all of the attributes necessary to make a compelling Dark Knight.

Perhaps the biggest concern would be Schrieber's deliberately understated and often calculating acting style. Taking on the role of both Bruce Wayne and Batman almost requires two entirely different performances and while Ray Donovan has proven the actor's ability to kick ass and look dapper in a suit, it remains to be seen if he could handle the delicate balance required to convince as a spoiled billionaire and costumed vigilante independently of each other.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
